As one of only 150 sommeliers to gain the prestigious designation of Master Sommelier, Greg’s relaxed approach combined with extensive knowledge makes dining at Il Terrazzo a star attraction. Foodies will love the attention to detail here: Mussels are flown in daily from Prince Edward Island, along with Scottish salmon and Hawaiian tuna, yet there’s also a comfortable selection for kids, like the mac and cheese, spaghetti and meatballs, and lasagna. Try the BLT salad — a chunk of gem lettuce on a base of creamy avocado puree, topped with peppered bacon and creamy gorgonzola. Traditional veal ravioli is reinvented with a parmigiano reggiano cream sauce. The chocolate peanut butter candy bar with Heath bits and banana ice cream is a standout dessert — and yes, even the candy bar is paired with a dessert wine. Greg suggests a Vin Santo from Tuscany.
