The 1,500-passenger Star of Honolulu’s “Premier Whale Watch Cruise” ship — featuring 60-foot high observation/sundecks and watts-type stabilizers (thus eliminating the need for Dramamine) — cruises past Diamond Head in search of the giant mammals. A crew of certified naturalists shares fun facts during the two-and-a-half hour trip, and there’s the option for a buffet lunch. Tickets are $55 for adults and $33 for children with lunch, and $39 for adults and $23.50 for children without lunch. Best bet: Whale sightings are guaranteed through April 30. Cruises depart from Pier 8 at the Aloha Tower Marketplace.
