From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Saturday, there’s a Willy Wonka world worth of wonder inside the Langham Hotel at The Chocolate Bar. Brides-to-be, couples, mothers and daughters, the recently jilted, and grandparents with the kids make a pilgrimage to the Chocolate Bar for a smorgasbord of specialty cakes, homemade donuts, ice cream sandwiches, cookies, tortes, puddings, and enough pink fluffy cotton candy to stuff a sofa. This year’s chocolate theme is a tribute to Boston neighborhoods: Stop at Fenway Park, for homemade Cracker Jack with dark caramel, peanuts, and sea salt; Chinatown, for dessert sushis in mango, strawberry, chocolate, and green-tea flavors; and North End, for freshly baked chocolate pizza with white, milk, and dark chocolate topped with roasted pineapple and candied fruits. Indulge, linger, repeat.
